# How to Cite

Use citations in Project descriptions, results, Protocols, Macros, and research outputs so readers can verify methods and interpretations.

# Inserting Citations on PhotosynQ

You can insert citations into Project descriptions, Project results, Protocol descriptions, and Macro descriptions. Select the Library icon, enter the reference DOI, and insert the returned citation at the cursor position.

(1) Open the citation search box. (2) Enter the DOI number from your citation and press ok. (3) If a citation could be found, the reference is entered at the cursor position.
