# Discover Projects
Use Discover in the bottom navigation to search for Projects you have not joined. A search term is required; the screen does not show every Project before you search. An internet connection and a signed-in account are needed to search and request access.
Enter part of a Project name in the search field, then select a result to review its creator, location, and overview. Discover shows eligible Canopy and Archived Projects. Private Vault Projects are not listed here.
If the Project is open for requests, select Request Join Project and confirm Request Join. The app sends the request to PhotosynQ and then displays Request Pending. This means access has been requested, not granted. Wait until the Project appears under My Projects before collecting data for it. If joining is unavailable, contact the Project owner for access.
Discover previews do not start measurements. Once you have access, open the Project from My Projects to review its protocol and instructions and take a measurement. An Archived Project can be discoverable, but archived Projects do not allow new measurements.
